Abstract#

POP is a website with a different skill game every day: not a new skin on yesterday's game, a different kind of game. Everyone plays the same level, each player's best run of the day counts, and the top 3 of every pot are paid in SOL. The idea that sets it apart is in the name, Proof of Play: the browser never reports a score. The server replays every run from the player's taps, checks that it was played live by a person, and publishes a proof for each run. Prize money goes only to runs that pass.

The problem#

Most web games that pay prizes trust the score the player's browser sends. Anyone can change that number with the browser's developer tools, and a bot can tap faster and more precisely than a person. When the prizes come from a token's trading fees, players usually can't check that the payouts happened either.

A prize game is only worth playing if two things are true: the scores on the board are real, and every payout is public.

How it works#

The daily loop

  1. At 16:00 UTC a different game goes live. Everyone gets the same level, and the dev score shows what a strong player gets.
  2. Players play as often as they like. Their best run of the day counts, separately in each pot.
  3. At the next 16:00 UTC the boards freeze, and a person watches the top 3 runs of every pot.
  4. Free-pot winners paste a Solana address within 24 hours. Paid-pot prizes go straight back to the wallet that bought the ticket.

The games

The players decide what the next game is. They suggest ideas on the vote page and vote on each other's. Each vote closes at 04:00 UTC, and the top idea is built over the next 12 hours as a new game: a different game, not a new skin on an old one. A person tests it, and it goes live at 16:00 UTC.

Every game is a one-button skill game that the server can replay exactly. The first is Candle Stack: a block slides across, a tap drops it, and whatever overhangs is cut off. Games start gentle and get hard fast, so the board spreads out. If a new game isn't ready at reset, the last one runs again on a new level.

Pots

There is one free pot and 3 paid pots, each with its own leaderboard and its own top 3, split 60 / 25 / 15.

  • Free pot. Unlimited tries, no wallet needed. Paid from the prize wallet, which 50% of $POP creator fees fill. Each day's free pot is 80% of what the wallet hasn't already promised (unpaid prizes and this week's weekly savings); the other 20% is saved for the weekly pot. The site shows it live, and it freezes at reset.
  • Paid pots at 0.01, 0.05 and 0.1 SOL. A ticket buys 5 tries. Each paid pot holds the tickets sold in it, minus a 10% house cut.

Proof of Play

Every run goes through seven checks before it counts. The first three are hard proof, and a run that fails one never reaches the board:

  • Replayed on our server. The browser sends only the moments the player tapped. The server replays them on the same level and works out the score itself.
  • Played live, at real speed. Every run starts with a signed ticket and checks in every 5 seconds. Slow motion, pausing and rewinding all show up in the timing.
  • One of a kind. Each ticket counts once, and a run that copies another player's taps is refused.

The next three look for a machine at the controls. A run that trips one stays on the board, but a person looks at it before any payout:

  • Real taps. Every tap has to come from a real touchscreen, mouse, pen or key, not from a script.
  • Human touch. People hold a tap for tens of milliseconds, never for exactly the same time twice. Presses shorter than 15 ms, or identical every time, are a machine's. It takes 8 taps to judge.
  • Human timing. Every game has hard moments that need frame-perfect timing: a fast drop, a quick pulse. Hitting the exact frame on 80% of them, or going 30 of them without a single slip of 2 frames, is beyond what people do.

The seventh check is a person, who watches the top 3 replays of every pot before money moves. Every run has a public proof page with the result of each check and the run's timing fingerprint.

On 2026-10-16 we attacked these checks with 14 kinds of cheating, 200 runs each. 13 of 14 were caught at least 95% of the time. A bot built to copy a person, slips included, got through. The Proof of Play page has the full results, and the risks below say what that means.

Weekly championship, rooms and votes

  • Weekly championship. Each day's free-pot rank earns up to 1,000 points. A player's best 5 days of the week (Monday to Sunday, UTC) count, and the top 3 split the weekly pot 60 / 25 / 15.
  • Rooms. Private boards for friends and communities, on the same daily game.
  • Votes. Players suggest ideas for future games and vote on them.

Money flows#

  • If fewer than 3 people place in a pot, the unawarded shares roll into the next day's pot of the same kind.
  • Free-pot prizes with no address after 24 hours roll into the next day's free pot, and so does new fee income.
  • One prize per person per day. Several accounts run by one person can be disqualified.

POP runs on Solana mainnet. Tickets and prizes are real SOL.

Token#

There is no $POP token yet. When it launches, its mint address will be published here, on the token page and on our official accounts. Any token calling itself $POP before then is not ours.

$POP launches on Pump.fun, paired with SOL, with Pump.fun's standard supply of 1,000,000,000 and no presale. Its creator fees are split as in the table above, and the split is locked on-chain. If the team holds any $POP, the wallets will be listed here.

What holders get:

  • SOL rewards. 20% of creator fees, paid in proportion to each holder's balance.
  • Buybacks. 20% of creator fees, plus the paid pots' 10% house cut, buy $POP and burn it.
  • Holder badge and skins for wallets with at least 100,000 $POP, verified by signing a message. Looks only.

Holding $POP never changes a score, a check or the odds of winning a prize.

Pot wallets are multisigs, so no single person can move the money. Every payout is listed with its transaction on the winners page. Every run's proof is public at its share link, and the Proof of Play page shows live counts of runs replayed, thrown out and sent to a person.

Risks and limits#

  • A paid pot is a wager on your own skill. You pay SOL for tries at a prize, most entrants don't place, and tickets aren't refunded. In some places, paying to enter a contest for money counts as gambling or needs a licence. Check your local rules first. The free pot never asks for money.
  • $POP can lose its value. Tokens like it are volatile and can go to zero. Fees, rewards and buybacks don't change that.
  • Our checks can be wrong. Proof of Play uses heuristics. An honest run can be flagged (it goes to a person, not the bin), and a bot that copies a person well can pass the automatic checks. The thresholds are tuned on simulated players until we have real runs to tune on.
  • Pump.fun can change. $POP's fees depend on Pump.fun's programs and fee rules. If they change, the money flowing to prizes and holders can change.
  • Wallets can be attacked. The team sends free-pot prizes from the prize wallet. If that wallet were compromised, unpaid prizes could be lost.
  • Games can surprise us. A game can play differently from how we tested it. A person reviews the top runs before every payout.
  • Outages happen. If the site is down you can't play, and a run in progress may not count. After an outage, we can give paid-pot tries back.
  • Legal status. The legal review isn't finished yet. The rules may change to comply with the law, and the site may not be available everywhere.

Roadmap#

Built

  • The first game, Candle Stack, with server replays, the free pot and 3 paid pots
  • Proof of Play: seven checks, a public proof for every run, and the attack bench
  • The weekly championship, rooms, and the vote on the next game
  • The holder badge, skins and the rewards lookup

Planned

  • Launch $POP on Pump.fun and publish its mint here
  • Build each winning idea as a new game
  • Finish the legal review
  • Retune the Proof of Play thresholds on real players' runs

Disclaimer#

This page explains how POP works. It isn't financial, legal or tax advice, and it isn't an offer to sell anything. Nothing here promises a return. $POP can lose all of its value. Only spend what you can afford to lose.
